Over the last few years, the SimplyDV Camcorder Reviews
section has been particularly popular among web users looking
for a reliable source of impartial, independent, product
reviews based upon "real-world" assessment criteria. It's
because of this that we attain up to 35,000 page views each
day from approximately 10,000 unique users. That's not bad
for such a specialised website that doesn't pretend to review
every model that comes to market!
SimplyDV has always existed to select products for review
that its visitors will appreciate; this is based upon
studying the web very carefully and using over 35 years of
accumulated knowledge of the video-making business. It's a
business that's changing continuously, with the needs of
consumers reflecting this fact, so it's important to try and
keep in tune with this. That's why we don't claim to have
seen or reviewed everything that's out there - we leave that
to others.
In an effort to capitalise on the site's continuing
popularity, we're now completely revamping this section of
the website in an effort to bring you even more camcorder
reviews but also reviews of the stuff you'll also need when
editing and sharing your movie projects with the world.
As a result, you might notice that it's looking a bit sparse
in the interim period - but please bear with us. There's a
lot of content to be added very soon!
Review categories:
Here's a list of the categories
into which our newly-styled reviews will fall as we add new
content to the site. Remember that we'll be adding new stuff
all the time so keep checking. Better still, subscribe to our
RSS Feed and our Podcasts to ensure that you're never left
out!
