More than just Camcorder Reviews!

From the website’s earliest days back in 2002, SimplyDV has brought you no-nonsense, independent reviews of camcorders and other digital video-related hardware and software. Our target market has been the first-time camcorder user as well as the more serious video-making enthusiast – possibly the upgrader or would-be digital film-maker, and the philosophy underpinning what we do has always been that we should always treat complete newbies with respect. We were all newbies once, after all.

New directions

With the implementation of a completely new website, both in terms of its design and its structure, we’ll not only be looking at the wider range of devices you can use to record, edit and share your digital video but we’ll also aim to provide you with useful information and tutorials designed to help you get the best out of not only your camcorder, camera or smart phone where video is concerned. Video has changed since SimplyDV first burst onto the scene and that’s why the site won’t (can’t) be left behind.

  • Other related hardware and software
